Qualification Required And Experience: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field (System Engineer, IS Engineer, Information Systems Engineer, IT Engineer, Network Systems Engineer). Courses in Data Warehouse/ETL/Database Administration. Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Database Administrator or ETL Developer. Minimum 3 years’ experience working in the IT industry (Telco’s preferably). Basic understanding of project management principles. ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE: Strong knowledge and experience implementing ETL processes with a specialized tool (SSIS, ODI etc.). Strong experience handling large databases. Strong knowledge of database memory management, partitions, indexes, compression techniques and general database administration. Basic understanding of data modeling techniques. Basic knowledge with Business Intelligence tools. Knowledge and experience in project management. Must have very strong skills in project Initiation (particularly in requirements gathering, understanding the level of detail required to proceed with any project), project estimation, planning and rapid mobilization. Good understanding of computer system characteristics, features, and integration capabilities. Experience in connecting and applying complex technologies to business strategies. Ability to understand complex, technical subjects.
