ROLE PURPOSE: The Condition Monitoring Technician is responsible for performing all Condition Monitoring functions of all Surface Infrastructure and STP equipment which includes checking vibrations, temperatures, pressures, oil levels and flows and reporting. The role holder also assists Reliability Engineer in developing, implementing and reviewing equipment maintenance strategies, reliability centred maintenance (RCM) tactics, and defect elimination projects in order to improve equipment reliability and asset integrity of the mine plant and equipment to world-class standards. QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE AND TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES: Qualification: Minimum of a Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or any other equivalent technical qualification. Experience: Three (3) years industrial/practical experience with Condition Monitoring techniques i.e. Vibration data acquisition and analysis, Infrared Thermography, and NDT techniques. Specialized hands-on skill and practice in key Engineering equipment installations, troubleshooting, repairs and inspections. Practical understanding of laser alignment is an advantage. Familiarity with the Ghana Minerals and Mining (Health, Safety and Technical) Regulation. Technical Competencies: Practical understanding in the use of SAP or any CMMS. Must be able to communicate about technical issues both orally and in writing. Should have analytical skills to be able to evaluate information and solve complex problems. Detail oriented to understand complex systems, and recognition that a minor error can cause major problems. Excellent skills in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Project, and Excel.
