Job Description:

  • Preparing and analyzing tender documents, including bills of quantities and pricing schedules, to obtain competitive bids from suppliers.
  • Conducting accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for construction projects, considering materials, Labor, equipment, and other expenses associated with the project.
  • Monitoring project costs and implementing strategies to keep the project within budget. This includes tracking expenses,  identifying cost-saving opportunities, and managing any variations to the contract.
  • Administering contracts and ensuring that all parties involved comply with their contractual obligations. This involves reviewing and assessing contractual claims and variations.
  • Collaborating with the Procurement team to source and negotiate the best prices for materials, equipment, and services required for the project.
     
  • Identifying potential risks that could impact project costs and proposing risk mitigation strategies to stakeholders.
  • Ensuring all work meets required quality standards and specifications.
  • Assessing work completed by contractors, verifying quantities and certifying payments for completed work stages,
  • Preparing regular reports and updates on project costs, financial status, and progress to stakeholders
  • Working closely with other construction professionals such as engineers, project managers, and architects, to ensure effective communication and coordination throughout the project.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying, Construction Management, or related field with a minimum of 3 years of experience
  • Strong Analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent knowledge of construction methods, materials, and processes.
  • Proficiency in cost estimation
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills to interact with various stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to meet project deadlines.
  • Knowledge of relevant building regulations and industry standards
