Experience and Requirements: A bachelor's degree in history. A minimum of 3 years' experience in a teaching role in GES, and/or Cambridge. Create and implement practical learning activities, projects, and simulations that allow students to engage actively with the historical concepts being taught. These activities may include debates, role-playing, historical reenactments, and museum visits. Utilize primary sources, such as historical documents, artifacts, oral histories, and multimedia materials, to provide students with firsthand exposure to historical evidence and diverse perspectives. Integrate current events and contemporary issues related to Africa into the lessons. Help students understand the relevance of historical events to present-day situations, fostering a deeper appreciation for the impact of history on the modern world. Encourage critical thinking and analytical skills by guiding students in analyzing historical evidence, questioning prevailing narratives, and examining the complexities of historical events.
