Our client a leading manufacturing company is looking to hire an experienced person to fill the role of Chief Security Officer to help in the operations of the company.

ROLE PROFILE

The successful candidate will oversee and secure group assets all over the country and manage the security function as well as protect and safeguard all company employees, visitors, contractors, their belongings, and all company property. He/ she will report to the executive director and perform the following additional duties:

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage and review existing security measures, update protocols, and submit reports as required.
• Ensure proper documentation of all occurrences within the facility.
• Ensure that security personnel are aware of all security procedures.
• Write and submit security reports on state of security in the organisation.
• Provide training for security guards including routine fitness drills.
• Maintain law and order within the facility to protect life and property.
• Maintain an accurate inventory of security equipment, ensuring all equipment is in satisfactory working order.
• Responsible for the regular testing of physical and technical security measures.
• Coordinate with other departments within the company to build relationships ensuring quality of service Check and ensure the guards are performing their duties as expected.
• Assign duties and schedule security personnel in line with the needs of the company and efficiency standards.
• Monitor the security systems and identify risky areas.
• Respond to alarms and distress calls in emergency situations.
• Enforce discipline among security team.
• Lead the team in incident management and conflict resolution.
• Complete effective health & safety assessments, risk assessments and site evaluations.
• Support and develop team members in the performance of their duties, managing poor performance as required.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCES • A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or any security-related field from a recognised Institution. • At least 12 years of experience working as a Chief Security Officer from the Police/military or corporate organization. • Should have managed a similar role from a Manufacturing or trade & distribution company. REQUIREMENTS • Must be Capable of following safety and security rules and procedures without compromises is essential. • Possess good knowledge of access control, event security, and incident response, in addition to a range of manned guarding duties. • Must have a good knowledge of IT systems and be able to use MS Office. • Possess exceptional managerial skills and the ability to lead a team. • Good written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills; must be able to interact with internal and external parties. • Should possess excellent customer service skills • Must have good organisational skills • Must be physically fit.
